LandCare Australia's Tree Campaign
GrowSuper is always looking for ways to reduce its carbon footprint and generate more sustainable environmental and business outcomes.
For example, our member newsletters are printed on FSC Certified Paper. This not only means that the paper pulp is sourced from responsibly managed forests, but the successive stages of processing, transformation, manufacturing and distribution also uphold stringent FSC standards and requirements.
Another great way GrowSuper is helping to conserve the environment is through its partnership with LandCare Australia's Tree Campaign.
For those who are unfamiliar with the campaign, members are encouraged to opt in to receive communications via email*. Not only will you reduce your paper usage, but for each member that joins, GrowSuper will donate the cost of a tree to LandCare Australia, who will use the tree as part of their revegetation and reforestation activities around Australia.

*Please note: Due to superannuation legislation, GrowSuper may be required to send some communications by post.
NGIA Conference 2008
In March 2008, GrowSuper exhibited at the Annual NGIA Conference along with 26 other industry exhibitors. This year the event was held by the sea at the Stamford Grand in Glenelg, Adelaide. The area seemed to be overrun with conference delegates and beach volley ball players. The latter there to compete at the Adelaide Australia Open.
From all accounts the event was a success. There was no missing the GrowSuper stand with our larger than life banner (see picture below). Many delegates dropped by to collect some great giveaways. The bottles of sun cream proved very popular despite the cooler weather.
We would like to thank everyone who stopped by to say hello and collect information on GrowSuper's products and services.

GrowSuper at the Spring Fling, November 2007
Last year GrowSuper took part in the NGIV'S 'Spring Fling' which was held on the 1 November 2007, in Keysborough, Victoria.
Over 100 people gathered in a decorated marquee to view the new and innovative plants, flowers and products on display. Delicious food was served, and bubbles flowed.
The highlight was undoubtedly the talented Vasili (pictured below right), encouraging everyone onto the floor to dance the Zorba, while he played the accordion.
The evening was a fantastic prelude to summer and GrowSuper was pleased to support another great NGIV event.

NGIA Conference 2007
In February 2007, GrowSuper exhibited at the NGIA Conference in Melbourne. Over 300 people from the Nursery Industry attended the event which was held at the Grand Hyatt.
Thank you to everyone who visited GrowSuper at the conference and completed our superannuation survey. Congratulations to Gabe Mostafa from the Australian Horticulture Magazine who was the lucky winner of an iPod Nano!
